DVN CONNECTS: DON VALLEY NORTH’S official TRANSIT ROUNDTABLE
The provincial government recently announced its new transit plan, which includes the Sheppard East Extension. As we plan for future transit infrastructure, we want to make sure your voices as Don Valley North residents are heard. DVN Connects is a year-long transit roundtable and community initiative, where we want to identify transportation challenges and build a community vision for the future of the Sheppard East corridor.
we want you at the table
We will convene a series of roundtable meetings throughout the year, and we are now accepting expressions of interest for anyone who wants to be part of an ongoing conversation.
This will be a name-blind process where we select participants who represent the diversity of our community, varying in age, gender, socioeconomic background, frequency of ridership and physical ability. We want TTC riders, car drivers, renters, home owners and people of all ages to take part.
COME TO OUR EVENTS
If you can’t be part of the roundtable group, don’t fret. We will host a number of pop-ups at upcoming events over the year as well as a Transit Town Hall where you will have a chance to share your commute experience and ideas about transit.
Here are some examples of upcoming opportunities to share your thoughts:
Saturday May 18: Compost Day 1
Saturday May 25: Compost Day 2
Sunday June 16: Environment Day
Monday June 17: Transit Town Hall
Saturday July 20: Summer Celebration
